I lived in the very small town of Jackson, SC, for a few years. It has only one stop-light. Its business district consists of five husks of buildings, one supermarket, and the municipal buildings. I loved it.

Around the Block from Where I Lived

Webb's Nursery
A long-abandoned cafe.
The windows and door are boarded up, and young pines grow within mere feet of the walls.
A shot from the cafe's front.
A shot along one the front wall, to give a sense of how close the forest grows to the walls.
A shot to reveal the decayed, rammed in employee entrance door.
Another shot of the side door.
A shot from the middle of the road.
Notice how tall the pines grow. This place has been vacant for a long, long time.
